superseventies: bradelterman: I was really scared of Stiv Bators and his band The Dead Boys when I first met and photographed them around 1976. Stiv did some wild shit to shock everyone, but deep down he was a really cool guy. I got to know him better several years later in Paris. Rodney Bingenhiemer and I were hanging out with Stiv at his Parisian apartment just a few weeks before he was hit by a car and died. Photo by Brad Elterman
