AoC in Europe
Well, the Art of Charm is in Munich right now and it is easy to see who is really made for traveling. I may not be the best at adapting to new environments but I don’t mind making myself small and rolling with the punches of being in a country that is new to me and not being able to speak the language. To me that’s is half the fun.
The boot camp we put on in England was solid and much fun, our guys were great and really took to it rather easily. I got to say I was quite proud of them. The first night was rather kinda rough, we had went to a place called “Tiger Tiger” It seemed to me kinda touristy and a bit too crowded, but generally a good start. The second night we ended up in a place in Lester Square I do not want to get into it much here, but it was definitely out of hand. The team and our members were on their last breath Sunday morning.
We had visited Octoberfest the other day and the funniest part to me was the girls next to us laughing at our intake of the beer. They said it was highly apparent to them that we were American by our three to one drinking ratio and that we would never last the entire day. The best part of that was our smugness saying “ahhh we’ll be fine don’t worry about us.” Sure enough I think I hit the floor about 6:30 in a total stupor. One by One we were all going down. Jordan and Alex who smartly went to take a two and a half hour siesta during the festival were the last ones standing.
I was wondering how much I stick out here in Europe and the answer is becoming painfully obvious when a kid in a mohawk asks to have his picture with me. This guy has a full blown mohawk and I’m the goofy looking one?
We have the Munich boot camp next week and I am excited to hit the nightlife barely speaking the language. Can we get by with just some smiling and good eye contact? Because that is about all I have working for me right now.
